Images of the Ferrari FF West Ham United soccer star Michail Antonio was driving when he crashed in the UK on the afternoon of December 7 have been spreading like wildfire. It’s easy to see why since the leader in scoring for his team suffered a broken leg and will be out of action for the foreseeable future.
Florida Christmas boat parade ends in shocking collision.
While some have assumed Antonio crashed his Ferrari while driving recklessly in a remote, forested area, one witness told The Sun it had to have been the result of bad weather the area has been suffering lately.
The crash was so bad, firefighters worked for almost an hour to extricate Antonio from the Ferrari FF’s wreckage. Images of the crashed Italian performance car show it sustained significant damage in the front end and on the driver’s side (which is on the right in the UK).
After veering off the road, the Ferrari crashed into the many trees, trapping and injuring the soccer star. No other vehicle was reportedly involved in the crash, which some theorize was caused by the slippery road thanks to rain and cold weather.
While many stopped at the scene of the accident and called for help, they didn’t realize until later the victim was a famous soccer star. Antonio won’t be playing again for West Ham United anytime soon.
Of course, this isn’t Michail Antonio’s first horrific car crash. Back Christmas Day in 2019 he wrecked out in his Lamborghini Aventador. That single-car collision was blamed on an icy road. Antonio luckily walked away uninjured back then. But fate didn’t smile on him this time.
However, this crash in the Ferrari FF could’ve been so much worse. We’ve seen people get carried away in body bags from these types of accidents and we hope Antonio realizes how lucky he is to still be drawing breath.
