The Los Angeles Lakers along with Air Jordan had a little bit of fun trolling the Dallas Mavericks when the two teams played recently, showing off a Koenigsegg Agera RS clad in the team colors. Not only was the Swedish hypercar draped in purple with gold accents, it bore Luka Doncic’s number 77 as well as the Jumpman logo on the hood.

It was quite the marketing stunt to pull before the NBA game. The Air Jordan brand got things going before the day of the game, dropping a new ad that showed a guy who’s supposed to be Doncic swapping the No. 77 license plate in the back for a new one in the Lakers purple.
As he’s working, George Strait’s “All My Exes Live in Texas” is playing. The words “Full tank. No mercy.” flash onto the screen.
Before the game started, the same Koenigsegg pulled up in front of the arena and parked in an area blocked off by barricades. A special sign was set up for the space, reading “Reserved Parking Luka Doncic #77.”
While rumors are running wild that the Lakers bought the Koenigsegg for Doncic or that it’s his personal ride, the truth is the Swedish hypercar belongs to a collector in Utah. It was on loan for making the ad and parking outside the stadium.

Air Jordan had it wrapped in the Lakes colors. The Agera RS is apparently Battle Grey and Orange under all that.
The marketing stunt got people talking about the Lakes acquiring Luka Doncic and gave Air Jordan some attention. Maybe Koenigsegg also benefitted from the arrangement, considering a lot of people still don’t know the brand exists.

Rolling up anywhere with a Koenigsegg is a flex, even if you’re just borrowing it.
