Every spring, Jeep rolls out some wild concept rigs for the Easter Jeep Safari held in Moab, Utah. For 2025 these concepts have a lot riding on them as the brand’s back is against the wall thanks to several factors: Stellantis’ strange business decisions, quality control issues plaguing owners, the Ford Bronco outshining the Wrangler, etc.
Watch a Singer ACS off-roader get driven hard.
For 2025, Jeep is trotting out seven concepts, each one sticking with a certain off-roading theme. Three are Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrids, something Jeep keeps trying to get core enthusiasts excited to own.
Some years the builds are admittedly more compelling than others. This year is a bit of a mixed bag, which is normal. One thing we have to give Jeep credit for is all of them participate in trail runs, so they’re quite functional.
Because Jeep loves talking about its military heritage, it usually has at least concept celebrating that each year. This time it’s the Convoy Concept based on a modern Gladiator, it has a nose and other styling elements that hearken back in time, giving the truck a vintage flair.
Another Gladiator concept, the High Top Honcho features retro graphics and a chase rack, plus steel wheels painted white, for another throwback look from a different era.
Similar to that is the Honcho, a Gladiator with a single cab, something which has enthusiasts excited but probably won’t be made into a production vehicle by Jeep. Just look at the marketing research about who’s buying Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators to understand why.
The Rewind Concept takes a Wrangler and adds styling from the late 80s to early 90s when neon colors and geometric patterns were cool, which we suspect will play well with Gen X enthusiasts.
The three Jeep Wrangler 4xe concepts are the But Out, Blueprint, and Sunchaser. The first is an overlander build that’s supposed to keep you off the grid for days, hence the name, while the other two feature more traditional Wrangler customizations.
Jeep often leans heavily on nostalgia for these Easter Safari concepts and this year it seems a little more than way than normal. While they all have their redeeming qualities, none are crazy enough to make us horribly excited, which also is the usual fare.
