Admittedly, this 2006 Bentley Continental Flying Spur we recently ran across for sale online made us pause for a moment. After all, it doesn’t seem all that long ago only the very elite were driving cars just like this and now this one is being offered for just $26,000.
In the meantime, Shaq is selling off several of his custom rides.
Among gearheads and even normies, there’s an ongoing, old debate about whether buying used, older luxury cars is a good idea or a horrendous mistake. Both sides can cite all kinds of examples and sound convincing. But we want to know more specifically if you think if this Bentley is a good deal or a money pit on wheels.

According to the person selling this Flying Spur, it’s “very clean” with “no issues.” We get people stretch the truth all the time when selling used cars, and some even outright lie, but what this person says could be entirely truthful.
However, all vehicles break eventually. When this Bentley does go into the shop, how much will it set you back? Will your usual mechanic touch it or will you have to take it to a shop that works on Bentleys and charges more? Do the parts cost significantly more than what you’re used to?
It’s also worth checking with your insurance how much it costs to cover a vehicle like this.
Also, keep in mind these big, heavy British luxury barges get horrendous fuel economy, so you’ll be bleeding out at the pump. But for that and other sacrifices, you get one of the best interiors around, a refined driving experience, plus a ride that rightfully turns heads in admiration.
But is this car or any used, aging Flying Spur worth taking a chance on? Or is this Brit too hot too handle? Let us know what you think.
