With the F1 movie starring Brad Pitt coming out in late June, Mercedes is firing up the marketing machine to capitalize off its involvement in the production. One of the more coveted items to come of this is a new limited production Mercedes-AMG GT APXGP Edition
Jennifer Lopez comes to the rescue after her hairdresser’s Jeep burns to the ground.
The APXGP Edition is based on a Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4Matic+, adding some designs and equipment that are inspired by the fictional APXGP Formula One team from the movie. With production limited to just 52 examples of this special high-performance 2+2, each one is guaranteed to be a collectable instantly and for the foreseeable future.

Because F1 was filmed using practical effects during real Grand Prix weekends, similar to the gripping way Top Gun: Maverick was produced, we expect the movie will be well received in the motorsports and car enthusiasts communities.
That also means anything associated with it will be well regarded, which of course includes this car. The fact it wears the fictional team’s livery, including wearing a special paint job which sets it apart from every other Mercedes on the market.
Other details include race gold accents on the exterior, which take on a checkered-flag design on the front wings. There are race gold accents throughout the interior as well, like gold threads in the exposed carbon fiber trim pieces and gold-colored topstitching on the leather and microfiber seats. Plus, the APXGP logo is featured in race gold on the floormats.

When F1 hits movie theaters, audiences will see a number of Mercedes-AMG cars on the screen, including an SL, G-Wagon, and GT. This will only help to further cement in the public’s mind how inextricably tied the brand that claims to have invented the automobile is to the most prestigious motorsport series in the world.
