If you’re looking to start your own mobile coffee truck business and need a cheaper ride that gets the job done, this 2006 Scion xB is a surprisingly viable option. From the exterior is just looks like the kind of ride kids inherited from grandma when she passed away, but the interior is anything but stock.
Mercedes Silver Arrow racecar sells for an eye-watering amount.
We’re guessing someone got creative with making a coffee truck because the ones you usually see aren’t exactly cheap, not like a little Scion at least. This little box on wheels would probably serve the next enterprising owner well until they too can upgrade to something larger and nicer.
When you open the tailgate, immediately you’re greeted by what looks like the back counter at a regular coffee shop. A rather large espresso machine, coffee grinder, and other equipment are kept on a custom-fabricated counter with a polished wood top.
Behind all that is a subway tile backsplash. At least from the photos it looks like real tile, no some veneer or an optical illusion. That alone is enough to get people talking and hopefully buying a coffee or two.
Underneath that counter is a white plastic tank we believe holds water, but we’d check on that with the person selling this Scion.
Open the passenger-side rear door and you’re greeted by four sinks and two faucets. That allows you to wash hands and dishes wherever you decide to park this bread box. It’s a cool setup nobody would suspect in such a tiny vehicle.
The seller says all the onboard equipment runs off the engine using a power inverter. That means there’s no need for a large, cumbersome, and noisy generator. The whole thing is a slick setup someone will appreciate and need.
While the owner has listed this ride for sale at $5,000 he’s also saying he’s open to trading for certain items. Check out the listing for yourself here.
