We’ve known for some time that celebrity chef and TV presenter Guy Fieri likes to go to Flavor Town in some sweet rides. The man is quite the gearhead, having owned some impressive rides over the years, including a Lamborghini which was famously stolen by a teenager back in the day. He recently showed off the current lineup and it is sweet.
Car YouTubers document daily driving their project ride.
Fieri gave Graham Bensinger the grand tour of his massive garage, which houses dream ride after dream ride on a lift system. To the non-car people, the double-decker storage approach is mind blowing. In the meantime, we’re geeking out over the incredible classic rides all maintained impeccably.
What’s interesting is Fieri claims to drive each of his cars at least once a month (or have someone else do it). That’s not only because he loves them but also because he, unlike so many, understands if a vehicle isn’t driven things start to break down, seize up, and not function properly. Kudos to him for not keeping his stuff in ridiculous preservation bubbles – these machines were made to be driven, not just stared at like sculptures.
The first thing that struck us was that the majority are classic American muscle cars. We figured he might have a few, not that his collection would be dominated. Fieri says his first was a 1971 Chevelle, which is a good one to catch the bug.
There’s a nice mix of both Mopar and GM products in his garage, both modern and classics, with an AC Cobra thrown in for good measure. Fieri is obviously a big Corvette fan, his collection containing multiple generations. But there is nary a Viper to be seen, which is curious.
He also has a 1941 Cadillac limousine, a rare car which slipped through before wartime production changed everything. He has another pre-war ride, a 1934 Buick Phantom, which he said was restored so well he “couldn’t pass it up.”
But by far the wildest ride in Fieri’s Flavor Town collection is the Apocalypse Hellfire 6×6. It’s an angry-looking Jeep Gladiator riding on 40-inch tires with a Hellcat engine.
However, the most surprising part of his vehicle lineup are the vintage fire trucks. They’re not just fun toys, they’re functional and he used them to keep his North Carolina estate from burning during a forest fire. Then he hauled his “rescue trailer” down to where the people who evacuated were staying and fed them. That’s how Guy Fieri rolls, literally.
Watch the video to catch glimpses of all his rides, they’re pretty cool to see.
