Every February, owners of exotic supercars and hypercars meet at St. Moritz, a swanky alpine resort town in Switzerland, to gather for the International Concours de Elegance of “The ICE” for short. While the official event was sadly canceled last year, thanks to a big snowstorm, this year conditions were clear and everything went off without a hitch.
Watch a Ferrari F40 get flogged on a frozen lake.
Unlike other concours events, The ICE takes place on a frozen lake, making it rather unique. The whole thing started back in the middle of the 1980s and has grown considerably in popularity. Considering most events like it are held during the warmer months of the year, a lot of people like coming since there isn’t much else going on in February.

The first shot in the included video shows a rather sleek-looking Ferrari 12Cinlindri. That model name refers to the monstrous V12 sitting under the hood, the most powerful one Maranello has ever installed in a front-engine production car.
Someone even showed up with a classic Audi Quattro wearing race livery. It’s a mix of just about everything cool at The ICE, that’s for sure.
There are many other impressive rides like a Lamborghini Huracan Sterratos, Koenigsegg Regeras, MKIV Supras, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Porsche Carrera, Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, Pagani Huayra, Ferrari Purosangues, Audi R8s, Lamborghini Urus, Mercedes-AMG Black Series, Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, and far too many others to name them all.
Watch the video and you’ll see a number of classic cars, both of the regular road-going type and some racecars (likely clones, but you never know). Some are even prewar beauties you wouldn’t necessarily expect to see out in winter conditions.
You’ll notice a number of these vehicles have roof boxes, skis on racks, plates from far away (there’s at least one from the Middle East) and other indications some people went on epic road trips in their exotics to participate in The ICE.
While that might sound insane and surely isn’t the cheapest way to travel, it was surely a fun time for those who were so brave. After all, what’s the point of owning an exotic ride if you’re not going to drive and enjoy the thing?
Check out the video if you haven’t already, it’s a real treat to watch.
