A YouTuber recently shared footage of how he used a McLaren to drive for Uber. Needless to say, it was a wild time. Just driving a ride share using a Kia can be interesting, but seeing people’s reactions when a supercar pulls up to take them to their destination.
Check out this dazzling restomod Dodge Charger.
The video uploaded to YouTube only shows three trips, but we wonder if there weren’t more and they didn’t go so great, like people didn’t want to appear on camera. Still, those three rides were all different and yet entertaining in their own way.
The first guy, a personal trainer, was obviously impressed by the McLaren when it first pulled up. And he seemed to think feeling it accelerate was a lot of fun – who can blame him? But the guy was also probably feeling a little intimidated.
That might be why he started bragging about how he could dead lift the car, saying his max is 2,800 lbs. We’re not fitness experts, but that seems like a dubious claim. He of course fails in his attempt but was cool about the whole thing.
Next up are two women, which presents a problem since the supercar only has two seats. Guess the guy should’ve driven a McLaren F1 instead.
They’re good sports about the whole thing and share the passenger seat, remarking how “cute” and “adorable” the McLaren is. Then they squeal with delight when the driver drops the hammer. Were they playing it up for the camera? You decide on that one.
Not shockingly, the conversation is light and almost meaningless. Remember, this is shot in Los Angeles.
The final guy has all kinds of questions and immediately tries claiming the car isn’t a real McLaren. The acceleration doesn’t impress him and he complains it’s uncomfortable. He must be a lot of fun at parties and stuff.
