Dumb Carjackers Ditch Vehicle At The Pentagon

Estimated read time 2 min read

We have seen some dumb criminals in our day, some incredibly unintelligent ones, but these Three Stooges who carjacked a vehicle, then dumped it at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. have got them all beat. After all, it’s one of the most secure installations in the United States, at least that allows some public access, so we can’t think of many worse places to ditch a stolen car.

Watch a couple beat up some would-be carjackers.

Footage of the alleged crime in progress shared by YouTube channel STATter911 shows three kids clad in all black, including hoodies of course, running through the public parking lot at the Pentagon. On the afternoon of September 1, they allegedly carjacked a Toyota Highlander in D.C. at gunpoint.

Police were hot on these dumb kids’ tails when they decided to pull into the public parking lot at the Pentagon and leave the stolen crossover there. Authorities believe the plan was to catch the Metrorail or a bus, slipping away from their pursuers.

But their choice of location came with an extra complication: the Pentagon Protection Force Agency. As part of the US Department of Defense, their sole purpose is to protect the infrastructure, employees, and visitors at the Pentagon.

When three little thugs with a handgun park a stolen car in the parking lot and start running towards cover, that’s going to trigger quite the response from the PFPA. They dropped the hammer on these kids as an Arlington County Police Department officer came from the other direction to corner the suspects.

You can also hear a helicopter overhead and sirens in the distance as the area was swarmed by law enforcement. Reportedly, after arresting the three juveniles, authorities also recovered the gun believed to have been used in the armed carjacking.

Sadly, carjackings are all too common in Washington, D.C. But until now, the other carjackers had managed to stay away from the Pentagon while running from police. We’re wondering what’s next: carjackers ditching a car on the White House lawn? Or maybe the steps of the US Capitol?
