Every once in a while we run across old police cars for sale which look interesting, but this 2009 Chevy Tahoe PPV is exceptional, even among those. While there are certain risks to driving a vehicle like this, if you can avoid any temptations this could be an incredibly fun ride to own.
Or go for this customized Honda Swagger Wagon.
After all, this former cop SUV looks exceptionally clean outside and in, especially since police beat cars. It’s no wonder since the owner says a new paint job was completed five months ago. In that process, all the markings, holes from antenna, and other blemishes were wiped away. Plus, the side mirrors and grille surround were painted to match the body.
You’ll note that’s not a police-issue hood but instead a Street Concept VortecMax ZL1 which looks appropriately aggressive. There’s also a Rhino push bar, LED lights, window tint, and more.
Instead of the junky, stripped down cop interior, you’ll find this has a black leather backseat, front seats/center console from a 2020 Tahoe, a black suede starlight headliner, Pioneer sound system with touchscreen and Apple CarPlay, plus AC.
To the 5.3-liter V8, the owner added a cold air intake, long-tube headers, and side-exit exhaust. Plus, this SUV has been tuned to run on E85 but can run on 87 octane if necessary.
Now here’s the bad: for some reason, the owner either kept or had installed red and blue lights in the grille and behind the windshield. Why is something you can only ask him, but we’d recommend removing those if you do buy this vehicle since turning them on pretty much anywhere could result in a quick trip to jail.
Would you go for this former cop Chevy Tahoe PPV or is this too close to the thin blue line for your taste?
