Your chance to own Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s personal Chevy Camaro that’s been modified for better performance. We’d expect nothing less from the retired NASCAR driver. We’re also sure plenty of people are interested in buying this American muscle car.
The F1 movie trailer that aired during the Super Bowl leaves many questions unanswered.
This 2002 Chevy Camaro Dick Harrell Edition Coupe Phase IIIX was built by GMMG and Berger Chevrolet back in the day. A total of only 35 of these cars were built, so it’s a rarity. Add to that the fact Junior owned it and put his signature on the dash, and this is a serious collector’s item.

Making this ride even more interesting, this is Prototype 3, so it’s even more of an oddity. With only 4,000 miles showing on the odometer, it’s also a time capsule of Chevy performance and aftermarket tuning from the early 2000s.
You’ll note the original LS6 engine was swapped out by Hendrick Motorsports for an LS7, with Dale Junior directing them to do so. The end result, with other modifications like headers and exhaust cutouts, is a peak output of 650-horsepower. After all, the man likes to go fast. All four technicians who performed the work signed the firewall.

The 12-bolt rear end is built to handle all that power. There’s also a custom chromoly driveshaft and driveshaft loop included in this build.
Other aftermarket equipment added to the Camaro includes a six-point roll cage with a removable rear bar, Penske road racing shocks, Hurst line lock, adjustable torque arm, and a six-speed manual transmission specially built for the Camaro.
The beautiful paint job with the bold black center stripe is custom as well, setting the muscle car apart from others. Same goes for the bulging cowl induction hood.

According to the dealer selling this Camaro, Dale Earnhardt Jr. originally paid $125,486 for it. No official listing price has been provided, as the dealer says it’s “coming soon” to its inventory. But we expect interest in the Chevy to be sky high considering who owned it.
