Someone thought selling their C3 Corvette modified to look somewhat like a first-gen Dodge Viper would be good idea. Every once in a while we run across some custom build so hideous we can only call it an abomination. This vehicle certainly deserves that classification.
Which is worse, this or Mark Zuckerberg’s custom car?
There’s so much wrong about this thing that should not be, but we’re going to start with something we don’t see anyone noticing. Even though this is in reality a 1982 Corvette, which alone is stomach-churning, the headline for the listing says “1987 Chevrolet corvette DODGE VIPER.”
Then, in the description the first line reads “FOR SALE: 1982 ‘Corviperette.” We hate to be nitpicky when just the looks of this thing along make us want to toss the cookies, but what’s up with that? Maybe it’s just our way of avoiding the stomach-churning stuff.

As Viper fans, we’re outraged that a bad representation of the Shelby Cobra’s spiritual successor retained the objectively awful GM 5.7-liter Cross-Fire Injection V8, something the seller brags about in the listing, calling it “wonderful.” No wonder he built this atrocity on wheels.
The seller claims people “legit” openly question if this thing is a Viper. We don’t like it, but he might be telling the truth. After all, we’ve known a number of normies who have seriously thought the Toyota MR2 was a Ferrari.
He also wants all the people gawking at this ride, who are probably not even remotely interested in buying it, that what you see are fiberglass body panels made to look like a Viper’s body, in a way. That’s a relief, because we thought maybe there was a company out there ripping people off by selling the them “Viper” body panels that were designed from memory. If such a thing were to exist, it would be from Temu.
Maybe that’s what this Corviperette really is: the Dodge Viper you ordered off Temu. We just want to know who in their right mind will shell out $16,500 to own it?
