Box Truck Crashes Into Car, Then The Unthinkable Happens

A shocking video of a box truck crashing into a car in China is making the rounds on the internet after someone posted the footage to Reddit. While it’s scary to see a commercial truck just veer towards a car and hit it, what happens next is far more shocking.

This 6×6 Land Rover Defender is ready to crush nature.

The box truck, which almost toppled over at first, hits the smaller vehicle on the passenger side, spinning it around. Then the truck spins as well, striking the car that’s traveling sideways so it rolls. If you don’t know, rollover accidents can be particularly scary because of the increased risk of serious injury.

Thankfully, being a newer vehicle its roof doesn’t pancake. But the car rolls several times on the highway, almost striking another car that’s stopped on the shoulder and the man standing next to it, who runs away in fear.

That’s when the car hits the barrier on the side of the highway bridge where the accident takes place. For a split second it appears the danger has passed as the vehicle slams down onto the barrier.

Even though the majority of the vehicle is on the shoulder, the heavy nose which contains the engine is hanging over the expanse below. Like a seesaw with a heavy person on one side, the car tips over, plunging out of view of the traffic camera recording.

People are losing their minds over seeing this. That’s understandable since barriers on the sides of bridges usually stop vehicles from going over, although not always. Plus, people are assuming everyone in the car died.

However, this accident, which happened back in November of 2020, didn’t result in any deaths. The five people in the car all survived, thanks in large part to their wearing seatbelts, reports AOL. In fact, they only suffered minor injuries.
