Florida sure is a weird place, but thankfully there are men like the Blue Collar Brawler around to deal with things like an alligator on the interstate. Authorities from three law enforcement agencies were trying to figure out how to deal with the large reptile when along came the barefooted Florida man with a plan.
Gas station crash blamed on driver’s footwear.
Footage of the guy walking up to the alligator while he’s wearing camo shorts and shirt, plus no footwear, has quickly spread across the internets. After all, the ‘gator is huge and this guy just waltzes up like he’s about to order food at a restaurant.
Mike Dragich, the Blue Collar Brawler, isn’t just some random guy who lives in Florida. A former Marine, the man has helped wrangle quite a few alligators in his time, so he knows what he’s doing.
That’s evident in how he deftly handles the angry predator, which obviously wants to keep him away, if not literally take a bite out of him. Using a catchpole, he’s able to drag the alligator out of the grassy median and onto the shoulder.
After some more struggling, the large reptile finally is subdued to the point Dragich is able to sit on its back and secure those rather powerful jaws. Then it takes the muscular Florida man as well as a Florida Fish & Wildlife officer to carry the hefty thing to a pickup truck bed.
We can only imagine the hazard an alligator in an interstate median would pose. Some poor motorist get attacked if they were to stop if their car broke down or they were in an accident. The ‘gator might eventually decide to venture onto the busy interstate and cause an big crash or maybe it would be hit and killed.
Which leads us to ask an important question: how did this massive alligator end up in the median?
