If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a Nissan GT-R R34 wagon, this might be your one and only chance at one. Someone has listed for sale a rare 1998 Nissan Stagea Autech 260RS for sale with an R34 front end grafted on. But this wagon doesn’t just look like the legendary Godzilla.
Check out a carbon fiber bodied R33.
That’s right, under the hood is the same powerplant as what you find on a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, the RB26DETT Twin-Turbo. It’s an engine that’s become legendary thanks to its ability to be modded for big power while still remaining reliable. In other words, you could do a lot of cool things with this wagon.

Like the R34, this Stagea comes with all-wheel drive for superior handling through turns and in spirited driving. It’s been recently painted Bayside Blue, the color famously used on a number of R34 cars. Plus, it wears gold wheels, completing the look which will turn so many heads.
For manual enthusiasts, this thing comes with a 5-speed stick shift, allowing you to enjoy all the heel-toe fun you want. This thing would be a blast to take to autocross, on a mountain road, or for a track day.
You’ll note in the photos it’s obvious the owner has done a number of modifications to this wagon. For example, the Momo steering wheel, dash-mounted tach, extra gauges, and blue emergency brake handle.

This wagon is a cool way to get the performance and looks of a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 for a fraction of the cost while also having room to haul around whatever you want. It’s a great blend between fun and practicality, plus it’s one-of-a-kind. We don’t expect it’s going to last long, especially with the $50,000 asking price.
