Usually when local police departments call in Arkansas State Police it’s for a suspect fleeing at high speeds, putting the public in danger. But this time around a trooper was called for what he believed to be a motorcycle running from Springdale Police only to find out it was some nerdy guy going slow on a moped.
Someone shoehorned a Raptor engine into a classic Mercedes.
Even though the guy’s going slow, because his moped is a gutless wonder, he makes the most of his hog and rolls over curbs, grass, and anything else he seems to believe a police cruiser can’t handle. But perhaps to his shock the trooper is able to follow with ease.
Unfortunately, unlike many scooter riders this guy seems to have a pretty good sense of balance. The trooper taps the back of his two-wheeler using his push bar, a trick which often knocks inexperienced riders fleeing from ASP over.
But this guy is able to put a foot down and keep the scooter upright as he keeps going.
Then he decides to squeeze through an area where the trooper’s cruiser can’t fit, the first truly smart move we’ve seen the guy make. We honestly don’t expect much from a guy who runs from police on a scooter.
Then the guy drives through stopped oncoming traffic, which the trooper can’t do but is also a really dumb move. Fed up, the trooper catches up and starts bumping the back of the guy’s moped over and over until it finally falls.
And that’s when the chase kicks into high gear. Ditching the moped, this nerdy guy proves he’s much faster running. Honestly, we weren’t sure if he would be or not considering he looks like exercise isn’t his forte.
But the cops run him down in no time and he howls like a girl after breaking a nail, claiming he “didn’t do anything.” Just for running from police on a scooter he should hang his head in shame.
