We’re always on the hunt for clean AM General Humvees for sale. That’s how we ran across these three being sold on Facebook Marketplace for just $10,000 each. While we’ve seen some at around that price before, sometimes cheaper but sometimes for much more, and these rigs are in really good condition.
Or you could go for a decommissioned Humvee ambulance instead.
Not surprisingly, the listing indicates the Humvees have 16,000 miles on them. We can’t confirm if that’s true, but looking at the condition of the exterior in the limited photos posted, the representation could very well be reality.
It’s not often you’re going to find a Humvee with such low mileage and in such good condition, especially for just $10,000.
We know what you’re thinking: what’s the catch? Well, the trucks all are represented as running and driving just fine, so it’s nothing mechanical. Instead, it’s that they’re being offered with a bill of sale only, not with a title. That could be a deal breaker for some people and we get why.
If you’re like us, you’ve at least considered buying an old AM General Humvee from military surplus to use as a fun off-road toy. We know ranchers, farmers, and other people with large plots of land use these as get-arounds.
Considering the conditions for the sale of these trucks, you would need to keep yours off public roads since it can’t be registered. If you’re okay trailering it places, then this might be an excellent fit.
But we know the lack of a title will be a deal breaker for some. Maybe there’s a way to get a title and register the Humvee where you live? Or maybe you’d rather get a truck that’s being sold off by the military and needs reconditioning?
