Usually when we see abandoned, barn find condition cars they’re some classic from the 60s, not a modern Audi R8. But someone did just leave the German supercar outside to rot in a move that’s baffling and disturbing all at once.
Check out the barn find car worth $10 million.
The good news is the thing was only sitting for five years, although the accumulation of grime on it makes the thing look like it’s been abandoned for far longer. The owner hired some professional detailers to get it all cleaned up, which is a satisfying process.

Even better, that person didn’t have to pay a thing since WD Detailing will clean up disaster cars like this for free. It gives them great content for their YouTube channel, which I’m sure makes them more money than whatever fee they’d charge.
But the non-running Audi posed a huge challenge just to move. Mice chewed through the lines for the air suspension, so getting it loaded onto a truck to take back to a shop was a four hour process. Yikes.
Thankfully, the Audi cleans up fantastically, so much the owner said it looked better than the day he bought it.
Of course, the big question everyone, including us, has about this Audi R8 is why it was abandoned outside? After all, that’s like dumping a Dodge Viper in the woods. This a car many would give their left arm to own, so the person who just left it could’ve instead easily sold the supercar for a bundle of cash.

You’d expect to see this sort of thing in Dubai where people will just park their exotic supercar and walk away, letting the dust accumulate on the thing.
The owner did say the situation involved the R8 breaking, covid, and some other life events. He tried getting it to a shop, but with the air ride suspension out, tow truck drivers wouldn’t take it. In other words, WD Detailing came to the rescue.
