Fleeing Motorcycle Hits Arkansas Trooper Head-On

Estimated read time 2 min read

A wild chase involving a guy on a motorcycle running from Arkansas State Police ended unexpectedly with a head-on collision. This is the kind of thing we’ve come to expect from Arkansas troopers and perfectly demonstrates why running from police in that state is one of the dumbest decisions you could make.

Learn how actor Aaron Paul was conned in a scheme involving his ’69 Ford Torino.

After watching the two motorcycles and a Dodge Charger race each other at a stop light, the trooper zeroes in on the one bike with its emergency flashers on. It doesn’t have a headlight activated and as the trooper gets closer, he notes there’s no license plate.

All of that adds up to someone who’s obviously up to no good. And that’s confirmed even more as the trooper, his cruiser’s emergency lights not activated, starts pulling up close to the motorcycle as the rider keeps looking over his shoulder nervously.

Once the trooper does switch on his lights, the suspect takes off, blowing through a red light and pushing the bike to high speeds. It doesn’t help that a local cop pulls in front of the trooper, a move we can’t help but shake our heads at.

All that helps the rider gain a commanding lead on the trooper. After the guy blasts down one road as another police unit joins the chase, the suspect turns onto side street in an effort to lose his pursuers.

After making another turn on a dark street, the rider doubles back, losing the other cop as he blasts right toward the trooper. Playing chicken with an ASP trooper is a dumb idea because they will call your bluff.

Sure enough, the trooper angles several times until his push bar is right in the biker’s path, resulting in a brutal head-on collision. Now that’s the kind of tactical vehicle intervention which has made Arkansas troopers legendary among law enforcement.

The suspect immediately pleads for mercy, realizing he’s screwed up big time. That’s how it’s done in Arkansas.
