McLaren Automotive has introduced an ultra-limited Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition, a special model created to commemorate a landmark moment in the brand’s Formula 1 history. Production is capped at just 10 units worldwide, underscoring its status as one of the company’s most exclusive modern offerings.
Developed by McLaren Special Operations, the car celebrates McLaren Racing securing its 10th Formula 1 World Constructors’ Championship and a consecutive title-winning 2025 season. That year also marked Lando Norris earning his first Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship behind the wheel of the McLaren MCL39. The Championship Edition is intended to form a direct connection between McLaren’s road cars and its most recent title-winning Formula 1 machine.
The exterior is defined by a bespoke, hand-painted livery blending Myan Orange with Onyx Black, mirroring the visual identity of the 2025 championship car. Commemorative elements include a painted ‘10’ motif incorporating ten stars and silhouettes of every McLaren Formula 1 car that has secured a Constructors’ Championship, highlighting the brand’s racing lineage.
Additional exterior features include the Black Pack, Gloss Black 10-spoke Super-Lightweight Dynamo forged alloy wheels, Myan Orange brake calipers, a Stealth Badge Pack, and a Sports Exhaust with a Stealth finisher.
Inside, the specification combines motorsport-inspired design with luxury materials. The cabin features ‘10’ embroidered headrests in McLaren Orange, a Myan Orange-painted 12 o’clock steering wheel marker, and performance Carbon Black Alcantara paired with Jet Black Nappa Leather and Vision Orange piping. A Custom Casement Plaque on the center console emphasizes the car’s rarity, while Extended Satin Carbon Fibre sill finishers are hand-signed by drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
A Custom Track Record Plaque in the luggage compartment documents McLaren’s 2025 Formula 1 results, including wins, pole positions, and fastest laps. Owners will also receive a dedicated 2025 Constructors’ Championship collectors’ keepsake.
The release arrives during a year of recognition for the Artura platform, which earned Britain’s Best Driver’s Car at the 2025 Autocar Awards and Performance Car of the Year at the 2025 Auto Express New Car Awards.
With only ten examples planned, the Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition stands as a highly symbolic model, blending Formula 1 achievement with bespoke craftsmanship and marking a defining chapter in McLaren’s modern racing success.
