With pumpkin spice season now in full swing, many women are flocking to Target stores to get their fix. But one tiny tike, an 8-year-old, decided to steal mom’s crossover and pilot it to the nearest location 12 miles from her house.
Watch an Arkansas trooper PIT a fleeing Dodge Ram hard.
Dashcam footage shows police trying to stop the little girl as she swerves around on the road. However, she probably didn’t know what to do in the situation, or she just really wanted her pumpkin spice latte from the in-store Starbucks.
According to Bedford Police in Ohio, the girl and her mother’s 2020 Nissan Rogue both went missing on the morning of September 15. A neighbor’s doorbell camera captured the girl getting into the crossover and driving off like it was no big deal.
In a USA Today report, it’s mentioned that the girl did run into a mailbox while driving off in the Nissan. Considering how many adults hit inanimate objects, we think she did a fine job behind the wheel.
Bedford Police had some fun announcing the interesting incident in a Facebook post. Someone at the department said they had “finally found a woman who’s in more of a hurry to shop at Target than my wife.”
In the same post, the department joked about the little girl getting a Frappuccino and officers letting her finish it before taking her into custody for a return trip to her mother. Some took that as a serious statement, not a joke, which makes it even funnier.
This is hardly the first time we’ve covered a kid taking their parents car for a spin and probably won’t be the last. What we really want to know is what consequences the 8-year-old will face for this kind of stunt.
