A 2007 Armet Gurkha Light Armored Patrol Vehicle, originally designed for law enforcement use but specified here as a civilian SUV-style model, has been listed for sale with an array of military-grade features and armor.
Coyote-Powered 1971 Ford Bronco Blends Classic Style With Modern Muscle
Built on a Ford F-550 Super Duty chassis by Ontario-based Armet Armored Vehicles, the truck combines Ford’s 6.0-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 with B6/STANAG II armor protection and NIJ Level IV bullet-resistant windows. Power is sent through a five-speed automatic transmission and dual-range transfer case. Factory ratings for the engine stood at 325 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque.

The Gurkha, repainted black under current ownership in 2023, has logged 16,000 miles. Exterior equipment includes 20-inch beadlock wheels wrapped in Continental MTP 80 run-flat all-terrain tires, a Warn winch, steel bumpers, LED perimeter lighting, firing ports, window guards, and a manually operated roof hatch. Additional tactical features include a thermal night vision system, Panavise camera mounts, and front and rear tow hooks. A previously installed turret is also included in the sale.

Inside, the cabin blends Ford F-Series controls with armored customization. Black vinyl bucket seats line the front, with diamond-plate flooring, a Kenwood touchscreen infotainment system, air conditioning, a Motorola CB radio, and a Star Signal siren. The dashboard incorporates additional Autometer gauges, while the rear compartment holds two bench seats, grab handles, overhead lighting, and dual fire extinguishers.
Additionally, the Wisconsin-titled Gurkha is accompanied by manufacturer’s literature, a spare windshield, and service documentation. The Carfax report lists no accidents or reported damage.

Developed in 2005 by Armet before its design rights were acquired by Terradyne in 2011, the Gurkha remains a rarity among armored vehicles adapted for civilian ownership.
