If you’re a fan of weird JDM cars, this Mitsouka Le-Seyde is about as strange as they get. Despite the throwback design, this isn’t some car from the 1930s but rather was built in the early 90s using a Nissan Silvia S13 as the base. In other words, this isn’t some kit car, lest you believe otherwise.
The Mini Ibishu Pigeon is far weirder and much smaller.
While some might find these atrocious, others regard the design as charming, even elegant. Only 500 were made, so this is a fairly rare bird. The person selling it says it was given an auction grade of 4.5, so it’s in good condition.

You might remember this car from The Grand Tour when Jeremy Clarkson picked up one. In the same segment, Richard Hammond got a Chevy SSR and the two insulted each others’ rides. They’re about the same level of quirkiness, although one tries to capture pre-war elegance and the other is more of a 50s retro-inspired design without all the chrome.
Since this is a JDM ride, the driver sits on the right side. Some of these Mitsouka Le-Seydes have rather opulent interiors with supple leather upholstery and wool carpeting we’re pretty sure was installed by owners later.
However, this one has a rather stark, Spartan interior. It very much screams 90s Japanese car, which for some might be just fine.

Considering the asking price is just $20,000 there is a benefit to not getting one of these with all those niceties. Plus, this thing has around 34,000 miles on it, so you’re not getting some ground down old Nissan powertrain.
If you’re concerned about being able to drive this on public roads, it appears to have been imported legally and the seller says it’s currently titled in Virginia. We know this is a car only some can stomach, so if you’re one of them, it might be your ticket to some relatively cheap fun on wheels.
