The Audi R8 V10 is a formidable machine in factory stock form. However, put one in the right hands and it can become an absolute beast which will make even the bravest men say a little prayer once the throttle opens wide. That’s exactly what this build, which involves twin turbochargers and 3,000-horsepower at the crank, is all about.

At the wheels, this Audi is putting out over 2,500-hp, or say says the owner. Considering not only how it sounds but moves as captured by Autotopia LA, we think that claim isn’t just someone talking big.
As the guy explains, he’s experienced in building super fast cars, but wanted to do something with a V10 engine since extracting momentous horsepower from those mills is easier. There aren’t too many options with 10 cylinders, many of them being exotic Italians, so he ended up choosing the Audi R8.
While the guy said with stock internals the engine was pushing mountains of power, he decided to switch to a direct port injection manifold that’s rated for 3,000-whp. Yes, that’s insane but that’s where he wanted to push towards, so why not?
You might have seen this car back when it was featured by Hoonigan in its This Vs That series. If not, that’s okay, this video will show you plenty about what it can do. While it doesn’t feature a quarter mile run, the owner says it’s a 7.30-7.50 car at about 200 mph. Yeah, that’s scary fast.
When he takes Shawn Davis, the host of Autotopia LA, out for a run it’s enough to make the guy almost go into a panic. Considering he was in a brutal car crash not too long ago, that’s understandable.
This thing is so fast, other than using it on tracks, we really don’t even see the point. And that’s why it’s so amazing. Check it out for yourself.
