If you’ve spent much time driving on country backroads in the middle of the night, you know how your eyes can play tricks on you. Being out there all alone you feel isolated and a little paranoid. But what one truck driver saw was also caught on dashcam, leaving people to debate what it might be.
See how potato chips caused a trucker to wreck out big time.
The trucker was traveling in Arizona on SR 87 near mile market 200 when he saw, and captured on video, what almost looked like a person standing on the side of the highway. However, as the headlights illuminate the apparent feet, legs, and on up, the form becomes kind of smokey.
That’s led some people to wonder if what appears on the dashcam footage is in fact a ghost. Of course there’s no way to confirm it is, with others arguing it’s light refracting off moisture, a defect in the camera, and any number of other things.
However, the passenger in the semi-truck that night immediately drew the conclusion the mysterious figure was in fact a ghost. Funny enough, the driver thought it was just some random person standing on the road in the middle of the night, reports Fox 10.
Some people think the ghostly apparition might have been the victim of a violent car crash. After all, SR 87 is a fairly dangerous road which goes from the Phoenix metropolitan area to mountain communities like Payson.
Even though this happened back on March 11, 2023, the dashcam footage is still an unsolved mystery of sorts. But these types of roadside apparitions have been a part of local lores all over North America for some time. In fact, you might have one nearby where you live or grew up.
The funny thing is this is the first one we’ve been able to find for SR 87 in Arizona. Maybe there are more and if you know of some, we’d love to hear from you.
