If we had $1,000,000 in hand, we could buy one absolutely incredible supercar or hypercar or a collection of impressive vehicles, or we could have this 1967 Pontiac GTO. That’s not a joke, because after all the GTO has been built not only for extreme power but with immaculate attention to detail. Still, not everyone is going to think this goat is worth so much.

To be clear, this is a restomod build, something the purists won’t love. For everyone else, the owner started off just building a decent car with a 461 V8 and a nice black exterior with all the chrome redone.
Nestled under the hood is a 427 LS7 with a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharged atop. While the engine compartment is dressed to kill, the powerplant will murder rear tires with 1,000-horsepower and at least 880 lb.-ft. of torque.
At WOT, that blower whines almost like a jet as the Pontiac blows by, it’s just amazing.
As for the chassis, it was built by the Roadster Shop and includes an independent rear suspension, which the owner says is key to keeping this beast under control.
The ’67 GTO is beautiful, but this one has been punched up to the next level or two. It wears the same blue paint as the current BMW X5 plug-in, which is an interesting choice and it works so well. All the brightwork is nickel, not chrome and boy does it pop!
The red leather interior is a color from Ferrari and it absolutely works, even though you wouldn’t think it should. The dash is completely bespoke, designed from the ground up just for this build, as are other panels and other components, including switchgear.
This is a rolling work of art which can throw down most brutally. That mix is always spectacular to see in a build and this is no exception.
