Whether you’re an Australian ute fan or just want a different sort of Mopar, this heavily modified 2019 Dodge Charger could be your ticket. After all, not only does it have a bed instead of the backseat and trunk, complete with tailgate and tonneau, the base car is actually a Police Pursuit with the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and all-wheel drive.
Or you could go with an ultra-luxurious minivan, instead.
According to the guy selling this ride, the ute conversion kit came from Smyth Performance. From the photos it does look clean, with nothing shoddy about the body or interior, from what we can tell.

The guy says he’s been driving this Charger ute for two years on the daily, which seems to mean any little details that needed to be ironed out were caught and corrected. Or at least we’d hope that’s the case.
As you can see in the photos, it has what appears to be a brass-colored wrap. On the hood are flames by the heat extractor vents. In the center is a stripe with “Hemi ute” in block letters. We get this aesthetic won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but if this is a wrap (which we believe it is) you could easily change up the look.
When it comes to the bed, we get a single shot with the tailgate down but the tonneau still in place, so we can’t see it entirely. Still, it looks nice enough and with a Hemi V8, this thing will be far more useful than your neighbor’s weird Ford Maverick “truck.”

Even better, the seller claims to have won awards at over a third of the shows and cruise-ins he entered, including getting the number one ute award at Carlisle Truck Nationals last year.
Would you want to own this unique Dodge Charger Pursuit turned into a ute?
