Lowrider events held in cities like Las Vegas, where this one took place, are often family-friendly affairs where people gather to have fun and socialize. However, a woman in a Tesla decided to take the law into her hands, blocking the street where all these lowrider enthusiasts were driving, a street which the city shut down specifically for the event.
This ’64 Chevelle Wagon hides a potent secret weapon.
The woman appeared to not like the noise and congestion in the area caused by the event. We don’t know if she lives there, owns a business on the street, or was just passing through. But she went up to one of the guys with a radio who was directing traffic and demanded to see the permit once he informed her the street had been shut down by the city.
When he wouldn’t let her take his phone or snap a photo of the permit, things escalated. She threatened to call the police, and people loved that idea since they knew the police would confirm the lowrider event was in fact sanctioned by the city.
After she continued to have a verbal exchange with some of the people at the event, she appeared to take off. However, the lady showed back up with her Tesla, blocking the entrance to the street which was shut down.
It’s an ironic move since she was accusing the lowriders of taking over a street without a permit, then she goes and does the same thing and definitely doesn’t have authorization. But the lowriders just drove onto a sidewalk to get around her.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen an event like this disrupted by someone who believes they’re the law and can shut the whole thing down. But when the police show up they establish the event is legal.
We get the cars are loud and so is the music at these gatherings, so not everyone is going to love them. But acting like a cop and blocking the road isn’t the solution.
