Some social media personalities tend to have overinflated egos, like this streamer in Georgia who bragged about how troopers couldn’t catch him in his Ram TRX. It’s like the guy just knew Georgia State Patrol would one day chase him and he thought he was ready. However, what he thought was an unbeatable truck would become his very coffin.
A car catches fire, then drives itself into a horrified crowd of onlookers.
Perhaps he already realized the illegal window tint on his truck would catch the attention of troopers. Likely he had some good reasons to not want a cop running his info or possibly searching his truck, which makes us wonder why he would risk everything just for some tint.
Sure enough, in the dashcam footage we’ve shared from GSP, a trooper does try pulling the red Ram TRX over, only for our social media maven to take off.
Instead of choosing to run on a nice wide, straight stretch of road like a highway or major thoroughfare, which arguably would be better suited for a Hellcat-powered pickup, the guy choses to run on a twisting, winding two-lane backroad.
In his stream before the chase, he brags about the Ram having all-wheel drive. He apparently thinks that makes it handle like a sports car, not the full-size truck it is. That turns out to be a critical mistake as he blasts through the turns, the trooper struggling to keep up.
Yes, he’s outrunning GSP just like he said he would, but it doesn’t last. Not long into the pursuit, the trooper comes upon a smoldering heap which vaguely resembles a red TRX. Obviously, the fleeing suspect greatly overestimated the handling dynamics of his Ram truck, pushing too hard through the turns. Losing control, the pickup hit the tree line and was obliterated like it went through an industrial blender.
You might be able to buy a fast car or truck, but that doesn’t mean you know how to drive it well. Unfortunately, this guy paid with his life for such hubris.
