It’s no secret there’s little love lost between Tesla and Ford, so to see a Cybertruck wearing an F-150 wrap is just next-level trolling. We can imagine quite a few Blue Oval fans upon seeing this are stomping their feet while waiting for the tow truck to pick them up. How dare any Tesla owner do such a thing!
See the Tesla Cybertruck do real truck things.
The F-150 wrap has been spotted on at least one Cybertruck before, possibly multiple ones. People in the past snapped photos of one of the all-electric pickups on a car carrier, clad in the Ford wrap. Because of that, it’s been theorized the truck might in fact belong to Tesla.
But it’s possible the original one was a private owner’s vehicle who just wanted to stick it to the automaker based in Dearborn. It’s also possible Tesla did wrap its Cybertruck like an F-150 and people have been copying that ever since, resulting in sightings across the country.
It would be even crazier if Tesla is driving a Cybertruck wrapped like a Ford F-150 all over the country as some sort of guerilla marketing campaign so people take photos of it to post on social media. That sounds like a very Elon Musk thing to do.
All we know is the F-150 wrap gives us a serious case of uncanny valley. It’s quite unnerving.
In this case, the Cybertruck in question was allegedly spotted in the Stockton area of Northern California. The license plate seen on the EV is what some claim Tesla uses for its company fleet vehicles. What it was doing in Stockton isn’t clear.
What we do know is the Cybertruck is quite the polarizing vehicle, no matter what wrap you put on it. While there might be a Ford feud going on, plenty of people, including some Tesla fans, think the pickup is hideous looking.
But others think the quirky design if fun and unique, reveling in the fact it’s like nothing else on the road today.
