It’s not every day you see a Terradyne Gurkha SWAT team truck for sale on Facebook Marketplace, but we ran across one recently. Why a private individual would want this truck could range from just the novelty to someone who has their own security force. But to get this unique ride you’ll have to shell out big bucks.
SWAT officers in Las Vegas will start using Cybertrucks.
Proudly built in Canada, this truck is powered by a 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8. It provides a decent 330-horsepower and a monstrous 750 lb.-ft. of torque, which we assume is great for tactical situations. I sure helps with pulling through muck while off-roading, although we don’t see the point in taking this thing on trails.

Adding to the ease of operating this armored truck is a six-speed automatic transmission plus four-wheel vented disc brakes. Just keep in mind this thing has about a 16,000 lbs. curb weight, so it’s a big, heavy boy.
But it also comes with B6 ballistic armor, which is supposed to offer protection against high-velocity rounds like the 7.62x51mm NATO ball ammo and even some explosives. That’s why this works as a SWAT team vehicle and is even used by some militaries.
The seller says this particular Gurkha has always been privately owned, so it’s probably never seen any real action. That’s good because we’ve seen how used up a lot of military surplus vehicles are once they’re sold off to the public, and it’s not pretty.
Instead, this truck, which was built as a 2007 model, has under 16,000 miles on the odometer. It’s not exactly something you drive to the grocery store or the country club, so we’re not all that surprised. But you could use it to lead some local parades.
You can see the interior isn’t anything too fancy, but there are two bench seats behind the front seats, running the length of the truck. Plus, it comes with a roof turret, a vital feature in tactical operations.
