It’s not every day you come across a never been used 1967 Mustang Fastback body shell for sale like this one. Currently up for auction over the next two weeks, this could make the right gearhead very happy indeed.
Mercedes-AMG One hypercar burns in Germany.
After all, we’re sure a lot of people could dream up what to do with this body sell. The most obvious one is to rebody their classic Mustang, maybe converting a Notchback to a Fastback or just repairing damage from a crash.

But there are other things someone with a little creativity and time could dream up. For example, the body shell paired with an aftermarket chassis from somewhere like Roadster Shop, combined with a modern Coyote V8 would be the start of a very cool restomod build.
This body shell isn’t some cheap knockoff. According to the listing, it’s made by Dynacorn at its California factory. Thanks to a licensing agreement with Ford, every body panel is as genuine as they get.
In fact, thanks to modern manufacturing techniques and innovations like CAD, we’d go so far as to say this body might be built a little better and more precise than Ford did back in the 60s.
Even better, the seller says he originally had a ’67 Mustang Fastback donor car when he got on the waiting list for the body. Even though he’s scrapped that car, the door VIN plate from the donor and the S code big block title are on hand. He’s willing to sign the latter over to the highest bidder.

Considering Dynacorn Classic Bodies has a stellar reputation among enthusiasts for making officially licensed classic American truck and muscle car body shells, this is something we would give serious thought if we were in the market for such a thing.
At the time of writing this, the top bid for this body shell sits at $29,999. Since there are 15 days to go, that figure will surely climb. But consider this: Dynacorn apparently has a three year waiting list for ’67 Mustang Fastback bodies. You can verify that claim, but we’re willing to bet that’s why this body shell is getting a fair amount of attention.
