If you’re looking for a van to outshine everyone else at junior’s soccer practice or in the school pickup line, this 2023 Mercedes-Benz Metris Maybach might just be the ticket. Just know you’re going to need serious cash, say about $200,000, to show up all the other mommies.
Check out this sinister widebody C2 Corvette.
But this van, which is quite opulent on the inside, is advertised with just 300 miles on the clock. In other words, it’s essentially brand new. Why it’s just essentially sat for the last two years isn’t entirely clear, but the listing does say it went through a conversion process at a shop.
Does that mean this isn’t a true Maybach? We couldn’t say for sure, but if we were seriously considering paying $200,000 for it we’d be asking and doing research.

Normally, a used Metris goes for somewhere around $50,000 or so, depending on mileage, condition, and options. That’s still pricey for a van, but some people seem to think it’s no big deal. But this one is loaded with all kinds of crazy amenities.
First of all, the back has just two seats which recline and adjust all sorts of ways and have massagers. There are aluminum steps for getting in and out, ambient roof lighting, electric curtains on the windows, gloss black flooring, and a huge 60-inch TV between the passenger compartment and where the driver sits.
In other words, this will only work if you have no more than two kids and you want to quite literally be a chauffer for them. Otherwise, we think this vehicle is more geared towards rich people who have a driver and want something spacious.
Would you drop $200,000 on a van? Is this thing nice enough to justify the lofty price?
