A parody Elon Musk account on social media platform X recently posted a rendering of a Tesla Model Y limousine, asking if one should be made for Donald Trump. It was of course a joke, with others replying to show off their own ridiculous renderings of Tesla limos as well as flying car concepts and even an all-electric tank.
Elon Musk slams Sam Altman for his vehicle choice.
But as they say in jest there’s always at least some truth, so this got us thinking. Perhaps an all-electric, American designed and manufactured limousine for President Trump would be a good thing after all.
We know electrification is controversial – we have our own thoughts on it, but mostly we’re not fans of the government forcing people into the technology. But what kind of a statement would it make that the President of the United States was rolling around in an EV.
There’s the practical concern about keeping the battery charged up so POTUS doesn’t get stranded or something like that. How do they refuel the presidential fleet now? We have no idea, so we couldn’t even begin to weigh in on that, and that’s probably because it’s a matter of national security.
Beyond that, the president has always rolled around in an American car and Teslas are quite American. Some believe they’re a symbol of our country’s progress in the modern age. Others think they’re giant paperweights.
Should I make a Tesla limousine for Trump?

The post brings up armoring and despite what some people think, there are companies which offering armor for Teslas. Just like with traditional cars, it cuts down on range and slows acceleration, so there’s a balance to be struck there.
Plus, with Musk being such an ardent supporter of Trump’s run for the White House, in a way a Tesla limousine would just make sense. Maybe Elon is already working on something and we don’t know about it yet. Maybe he’s going even more extreme with a Cybertruck limo. There are so many crazy possibilities.
