Shedeur Sanders, who’s about to start his first season in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns, is making waves after buying a brand new Rolls-Royce Phantom. He added the ultra-luxury car, which people are estimating set him back about half a million dollars, to his already impressive collection.
Former Olympics star Mary Lou Retton has been arrested and charged with DUI.
Sanders has been a lightning rod for criticism during his college football career. Accusations of favoritism because his dad was the team coach were a constant, but he was also assailed for his rather opulent lifestyle, which he freely has documented via social media.
The reveal of the green Rolls-Royce phantom, and it’s not British Racing Green, was made via YouTube channel Well Off Media. While some people are fawning over the purchase, we think it just shows you can buy a Rolls with a lot of money, but you sure can’t buy taste.
Seriously, we’ve seen dirty diapers which look more attractive than the ugly green Sanders custom selected for the Phantom. How Rolls-Royce allowed such a thing might be a mystery to some, but we’ve seen some ugly specs from the British automaker before, so it’s a thing.
While Sanders does have a $4.6 million four-year contract with the Cleveland Browns, he probably already had the money for the Roll-Royce. After all, the ultra-luxury ride was delivered to Shedeur’s own Texas estate.
Where the delivery happened was in an area with several other rides, including a nice RV, several trucks, an SUV, and a customized golf cart. Like we said, the guy was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and hasn’t ever wanted for material things.
How this will affect relationships with other Browns players, if it will at all, remains to be seen. But Sanders already has the trappings of a seasoned NFL player even though he’s an unproven rookie.
