With the SEMA 2024 show held in Las Vegas, quite a few builders were showing off their rides, including Ringbrothers. And as always, the Wisconsin shop wowed the crowds with not one but multiple cars. By now we’ve come to expect this, but it’s still nonetheless a treat to behold the creative works.
Check out a Viper with a Hellcat engine swap.
One of those cars, called Infected, is a 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda bathed in a custom color developed by BASF called “Pink Eye.” As you might have guessed, that’s a reference to the Hellcrate Redeye engine under the hood. Other big modifications is an extended wheelbase, shortened front fenders, redesigned front fascia, tucked and narrowed bumpers, plus extended and lowered rocker panels.
Then there’s Tuka, a 1972 Chevy K5 Blazer which looks tough on city streets but can also handle trails. Among the highlights is a hand-built fiberglass cover for the rear integrating a modern Blazer panoramic window, LS3 with 525-hp, rear window from a modern Wrangler, modified third-gen Toyota Tacoma front suspension, and a bespoke cabin.
INVADR, a 1987 Buick Grand National many have been anticipating, has 1,246-hp and 1,000 lb.-ft. of torque on tap thanks to the built 3.8-liter V6 paired with twin 62mm turbos. Like with other Ringbrothers builds, this one refines and reimagines the G-body with altered bumpers, front fenders, extended rocker panels, and a carbon-fiber hood scoop.
The underpinnings of INVADR is a custom Roadster Shop chassis with a four-link rear suspension. All four corners feature Penske three-way adjustable shocks, balancing ride comfort with handling. Six-piston Brembo brakes with carbon-ceramic rotors help round things out.
As is sometimes the case, these builds might end up in the collection of someone famous. At the very least they will be purchased by someone wealthy since the thousands of hours poured into each one doesn’t come cheap.
