Professional musician Ray J has done incredibly well for himself, but someone has apparently decided to help themselves to the trappings of his success. Two of his pricey Maybach SUVs went missing recently and efforts to track them down appear to be fruitless so far.
Actress finds a tracking device on her car.
It’s a frustrating situation we’re sure is stressing the man out and is something far too many people face these days. According to TMZ, the two Maybachs were loaded into an enclosed car carrier in Reno, Nevada for transport to New York. However, they never arrived.
Trackers which were installed in the vehicles reportedly indicate they’re still in Reno. But there’s some question about whether the trackers are still with the SUVs or were removed.
In the meantime, Ray J apparently has gotten in touch with the auto transport company but is getting the runaround about what’s going on. Sadly, this too has been a problem for people having vehicles shipped long distances.
We hope this isn’t the case, but sometimes drivers or other people working for car transport services are less than honest. Alternatively, some hackers have tapped into transport companies’ systems and fooled drivers into dropping off vehicles at the wrong address in a sophisticated heist.
Reportedly the police are investigating the case as well, so anyone who might be involved in stealing the Maybachs could be facing serious criminal consequences if caught. Hopefully this is just a logistics error or a misunderstanding, not a case of theft.
It’s pretty weird the trackers indicate the Maybachs are still in Reno, not in another part of the country. That would make us suspicious that they’ve been removed and the vehicles transported elsewhere in an attempt to throw authorities off the trail. Hopefull all will be resolved soon enough.
