A pet raccoon scofflaw in Ohio has caused quite the stir after it was openly defiant towards police officers during a traffic stop. Things are getting rough for police and other government authorities as not only humans rebel but so do the animals. These are truly perilous times for the rule of law.
Scofflaw duck repeatedly triggers speed camera in Switzerland.
The incident in question started as a traffic stop once officers ran the pet raccoon owner’s plates and found she not only had a suspended license but also a warrant for her arrest. It’s the kind of routine stop cops deal with all the time, but nothing prepared them for what the tiny critter was about to do.
After arresting the driver and having the elderly female passenger get out of the car, police were amused to find the woman’s pet raccoon hitting her meth pipe which she left in the driver’s seat.
The officer who noticed it laughed and called the other cop over to have a look for himself. We bet even with all the weird stuff they witness on a daily basis, the police don’t see that sort of thing much, if ever.
After the cop takes away one meth pipe, the raccoon finds another and tries to smoke it. There’s nothing inside, but we have to wonder how many times the animal has in fact successfully tried meth.
We don’t want to think what a meth-addled raccoon would be like.
What’s just as interesting to us is how the Hyundai crossover has obvious body damage, plus at least the front passenger door panel is missing. Even better, someone installed nylon mesh over the passenger side front window and part of a wood lattice over the back window.
Why would anyone do something like that? We think the answer is obvious: someone who also smokes meth often. It just makes sense.
We hope the raccoon as well as the driver get the help they need.
