The late Paul Walker had quite the car collection, including this 1967 Chevy Nova II that’s currently up for auction. A lot of people are hoping they can make the modified American classic theirs, and with the auction set to end in just a few hours we expect the current high bid of $78,000 will rise.
Dodge Hellcat has a Tesla surprise under the hood.
Walker didn’t exactly modify this himself in his own garage in between filming. Instead, the current owner says it was modified by Year One, a parts supplier. That was done in 2003 after the actor wrapped filming for the forgettable 2 Fast 2 Furious movie.
The list of modifications done to this Chevy is long. You’ll note the color isn’t factory spec but instead is supposedly made to mimic a 2002 Porsche hue called Slate Gray. That graces the cowl-induction hood.
Among the many other modifications done to this Nova is a power-steering rack similar to what’s found in the Mustang II, four-link rear suspension geometry, Heidts front subframe, four-wheel disc brakes from Wilwood, and staggered Wheel Vintiques wheels for that aggressive stance.
In 2010 the Nova received a big upgrade with a an LQ9 6.0-liter V8 engine and 4L60-E four-speed automatic installed, both donated by a half-ton pickup. An upgraded aluminum radiator and dual-exhaust system with headers and Flowmaster mufflers were also added. At the same time, a Moser Engineering 12-bolt rear was also bolted in.
Not only was this Chevy owned by someone famous, it has a claim to fame all its own. The Nova was featured in Chevy Rumble magazine back in 2004, with a photocopy of that included in the sale along with partial service records, car cover, and a clean Arizona title. Plus, you can take this to meets and shows, bragging to everyone about how you got Paul Walker’s old ride.
