A situation recently unfolded involving New England Patriots football player Christian Barmore mixing it up with police in Providence, Rhode Island during an early morning traffic stop. The professional defensive tackle called the officers racist and “unprofessional” afterwards, something the police department took issue with.
YouTuber busted after he’s caught speeding in a million dollar Mustang.
According to a Providence Police Department report, officers spotted the Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Barmore at 12:53 am on October 16, noting the window tint and a plate cover making the temporary tag difficult to read.
They initiated a traffic stop, but the Jeep kept slow rolling for a while, then finally pulled over. That’s often a tactic used by suspects as they try cleaning up evidence in the vehicle, hiding or disposing of it. The area where police spotted the Grand Cherokee is apparently known for drug activity, says WCVB.
Bodycam footage of the traffic stop obtained by TMZ Sports shows Barmore in his Jeep Grand Cherokee verbally unloading on officers. He also reportedly handed over his license, registration, and insurance info aggressively, making it clear he was upset at being pulled over.
That seems to back up their version of events, that the NFL player was belligerent, combative, and at one point tried to use his status as a professional athlete to deflect any scrutiny of his actions.

It turned out the temporary tag expired on October 5, with officers saying the Jeep would be searched then towed away, and that’s when Barmore really became irate. He refused to get out of the vehicle after several orders.
Police allege that “a blunt rolled with an unknown substance” as well as tubes of what they believed to be marijuana were found during the search.
However, Barmore allegedly left in another vehicle during the search. He then posted to X that the Providence officers were “very unprofessional” and racist towards him.
Since the incident Barmore posted an apology on X, saying he was able to “deeply reflect” on how he behaved and that he takes “full accountability.”
