A yellow Bugatti EB110 SS formerly owned by none other than Michael Schumacher turned heads when it appeared in public recently. Even though the principality of Monaco is constantly awash in exotic rides, this one is more special than most others for a couple of reasons.
Mercedes-AMG One burns to the ground in Germany.
The French supercar was spotted during the fanfare ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix. Even though it was in the presence of many other impressive rides, including George Russell’s Mercedes-AMG One, the McLaren Solus, Lando Norris’ Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Carlos Sainz’s Ferrari Daytona SP3, and even Adrian Sutil’s Bugatti Veyron Black Bess the Bugatti stole the show.
That yellow paint didn’t hurt, nor did the fact you don’t see many EB1100 SS supercars outside of museums and high-end showrooms these days. But people immediately recognized chassis SS39020, realizing the vehicle Schumacher used to roll around in was at a Formula One GP.

Schumacher, who captured seven F1 world championships, treated himself to the Bugatti back in June 1994. At the time it was the fastest street-legal production car in the world, capable of hitting 220 mph and doing 0 to 60 in 3.26 seconds.
It wasn’t until 2003 that Schumacher unloaded the Bugatti EB110 SS, with Modena Motorsport scooping it up. In 2010 it changed hands again, with high-end German restoration shop Reichel Sportwagen buying it.
We’re unsure who owns the Bugatti at this point. Whoever it is, they’re obviously taking excellent care of the yellow French supercar. It hasn’t been spotted in public for some time, that we’re aware of, which has led to some speculation, but this appearance in Monaco put some of that to bed.
As one of the tangible elements of Michael Schumacher’s time as a successful F1 driver, it’s good to see the EB110 SS is still turning heads.
