Automotive celebrity designer Magnus Walker, known for building iconic Porsches, seems to be pulling up his roots from Los Angeles. His famous warehouse in downtown has been listed on the market, all 26,000 glorious square feet of it, with a lucky new buyer able to do whatever they want with the space.
See how Mark Zukerberg is trying to pretend he’s one of the cool kids now.
Built in 1902, the two story brick building at first was used by Walker as the headquarters of his clothing brand. But as the man moved increasingly into the automotive space it’s housed his impressive, extensive collection of classic Porsches and car memorabilia.
Not only has Walker worked on his vehicles in the warehouse, it’s been his living space, an art gallery, and served as a filming location for commercials, TV shows, and movies. It might continue to serve the new owner in those capacities. Or it could be used for storefronts, completely transforming the face of the building.
For the well-heeled car enthusiast who might be interested, there’s a freight elevator which can accommodate vehicles, so storing them on both floors is possible. Plus, there’s a gated courtyard where up to 12 cars can park and be secured.
And since it’s an industrial building, you can fabricate and do all sorts of things you might not be allowed to do in a regular residential area. This could be the perfect fit for an up-and-coming car YouTuber.
It’s not clear where Walker might land next. Perhaps he’s staying in the LA area and just wanted a change of scenery. Or it’s possible he, like so many others, has decided to ditch California altogether. For now that remains a mystery. But we’re sure plenty of people are interested in his warehouse space as the man turns a new page in his life.
