Japanese tuners are often known for adding their own unique spin to rides, especially when it comes to performance European models. And while the island nation has a fair number of well-known Porsche tuners, a shop that’s been around only about eight years is suddenly storming onto the scene.
A banned Mustang body kit might still be coming to market soon.
Madlane builds more than just Porsches, with the shop doing some amazing Lamborghinis, Ferraris, etc. But what’s really got people talking are the Porsches.
Tucked away in quiet Okayama, not the hustle and bustle of the Tokyo metropolitan area, it might be the last place one would expect to find such a shop. But that’s perhaps why it’s been so successful.
Headed by Kazuki Ohashi, a man who definitely marches to the beat of his own drummer. He started off just making air suspension systems for exotics, but he got so into transforming other parts of the cars he decided to launch a tuning house.
It’s amazing to see what a man’s passion turned into as he decided to strike out and do his own thing unapologetically.
What really set everyone on fire was the Madlane Porsche 935 build revealed at the Tokyo Auto Salon. With its dramatic slant nose, massive rear wing, white vintage BBS Turbofan wheels, and plenty of other eye candy, it’s easy to see why people immediately wanted to know more.
We always say the devil is in the details when it comes to customizing cars. This is where Madlane excels, paying close attention to the most minute things. Even if you don’t fixate on all those details, your eyes and brain notice them at the subconscious level, and that’s why these rides look so amazing from the very first moment you see them.
A tour of the Madlane headquarters by YouTube channel Dino DC reveals that attention to detail is throughout the complex, including branded rugs and incredibly clean workshops with plastic partitions, keeping dust and debris out of the workspace.
