All eyes are on Lewis Hamilton as he gets familiar with the Ferrari SF-25, which he claims to be “slowly bonding” with in the preseason. Scuderia Ferrari HP has taken a gamble on the Formula One champion, in part because of his age but also the uncertainty of how he will adapt to the new team and car.

That comment about the SF-25 was made by Hamilton as he was in the middle of preseason testing in Bahrain. He admitted things haven’t been magical behind the wheel, but also he hasn’t had the team do any changes to the set-up to suit his personal preferences, yet.

But we reported before he immediately had feedback on the SF-25, which he will pilot during the Grands Prix this season. After 12 years of driving Mercedes F1 racecars, adjusting to the new team, which uses different equipment, designs, and processes, is going to take some getting used to.
Lewis told media gathered in Bahrain that the SF-25 “likes to be driven differently.” Even though that’s required him to adjust his driving style, the man claims that’s been “a really fun journey.” We hope he keeps up that positive attitude.
He even indicating there have been big improvements in the process of onboarding him with the team and his adjustment to the changes. He and other Scuderia Ferrari team members have been putting in long hours to get ready for the start of the season.
The big question on everyone’s minds right now is whether this means Lewis Hamilton will come out of the gate swinging, racking up podium finishes if not outright victories, or if he’ll have to warm up at the beginning of the season before he really gets rolling.
There is, of course, a third option where Lewis struggles all season, making his future in F1 uncertain. Whatever happens, all eyes will be on the Ferrari driver.
