Many professional athletes, including NBA players, own some rather incredible rides, and that includes LeBron James. While much of his collection isn’t often seen in public, some fans did catch the masked King James cruising around in his nice black Porsche 918 Spyder.
Check out Fernando Alonso’s car collection.
Reportedly, James bought the Porsche hybrid hypercar back in 2020, a year when he was riding high in his career. Perhaps he purchased the ride, which has a production number capped at 918 units, as a reward for winning the NBA Championship.
Whatever the reason, he was spotted that same year driving down the highway in the Porsche. While he was wearing a mask, we guess to keep from catching covid at 75 mph, some fans recognized him and started recording.
Instead of getting mad, LeBron seemed good natured about being recorded before he sped off. We can hardly blame him considering the 918 Spyder would be enough to put anyone in a good mood.
Pairing a rocking 4.6-liter V8 engine with two electric motors, it puts at the driver’s command 887-horsepower and 944 lb.-ft. of torque. Even by today’s standards that’s plenty and the hypercar came out over a decade ago.
The thing can dash from 0 to 60 in just 2.6 seconds and hit 211 mph. It’s no wonder James was able to pull away from the filming fans without effort.
We know about some of the other rides in Lebron’s garage. Among them is a Chevy Camaro SS, Ferrari 458 Italia Spider, Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, Bentley Continental GT, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Ferrari 599 GT Fiorano, Hummer H2, Maybach S650, Ferrari F430 Spider, and a Maybach 57S. He also has a Kia K900 he got for being a spokesman for the luxury ride, famously showing off the excellent backseat legroom in a series of ads.
Many of those rides we just have heard King James owns, because it’s been rare to spot him behind the wheel.
