It’s no secret Shaq is a big car guy with a huge collection, but he recently disclosed how he chooses which one he choose to drive each day. His method is rather… unconventional, but we’d expect nothing else from the retired professional basketball player.

Shaq generally likes to collect full-size sedans, trucks, and SUVs, modifying some so they fit his 7’1” body. For example, he bought a Lucid Air all-electric sedan, modifying it so it became a coupe with huge doors, allowing him to get in and out without issues.
His Dodge Charger Hellcats have modified seat rails, allowing the driver’s seat to slide all the way back until it touches the front of the seat bolster for the backseat. But it’s his trucks and SUVs he fits in best.
However, that’s not how he chooses which ride he’s taking out for the day. Instead, we’ll let Shaq describe his unique selection method.
“I treat them like girlfriends. So, my police car girlfriend, I haven’t seen her in a while, so I’ll probably take her on a date tonight. When I’m leaving tomorrow for a week, so I’ll probably take my favorite girlfriend out tonight.”
It was while Shaq was on The Big Podcast he was asked by the host how he chose his vehicle for each day.
The follow up question was which of his “girlfriends” is his favorite. That’s like asking a woman with a whole room as her closet which is her favorite pair of shows. However, the big man didn’t even hesitate, saying his “Mad Max truck” is number one.
That truck is of course Shaq’s Ram TRX modified by Apocalypse. A lot of people think it looks like something out the Mad Max film franchise, which we can see. With plenty of power, plenty of room, and plenty of wild styling, that’s his whip of choice, apparently.
