Some guys buy a sport bike and just think they’re invincible. They think nothing else on the road is as fast as their two wheels, probably because the guy who sold the motorcycle to them said so and also because it accelerates so much faster than the Corolla they ditched to buy it. This type of mentality seems to be true with this rider in Arkansas as he blasts past a trooper, weaving through fairly heavy traffic like he doesn’t understand the laws of physics.
Learn how electric motorcycles are being used in the military.
That brings up the next point about this rider: he obviously doesn’t have that much experience. If he does, then he doesn’t love his life. Weaving through traffic at speed like that, in some cases filtering or squeezing between cars next to each other is incredibly dangerous and illegal for good reason.
Further fueling the suspicion this guy lacks experience and thus doesn’t really know what he’s doing is his lack of understanding about his bike’s top-end performance. He seems to think he can leave police in Dodge Charger Pursuits in the dust, and yet he can’t pull away from them without the help of heavy traffic.
It doesn’t hurt that Arkansas State Police seem to train troopers to be quite adept at using emergency lanes at high speeds. Watching this trooper in pursuit is like going along for a ride with a professional racecar driver who keeps everything under control in a situation where most people would wreck out rapidly.
This guy learns the hard way that his sport bike isn’t an adventure model and doesn’t have the tires for rolling through a grassy field at speed. Kudos to the other trooper who forced him to learn this lesson he won’t forget for a long time.
That is not professional language for the cops. They are not supposed to get emotionally involved and curse at the perp! Bad cop!
