Actor Frankie Muniz is learning some hard lessons in NASCAR as the actor turned race car driver complained to the media he doesn’t get any respect from his peers. The frustration was evident in his body language and voice as he explained his failure to finish last weekend in Atlanta for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck series.

Muniz was on the receiving end after a multi-vehicle wreck. What’s worse, after finishing in the top ten at Daytona, the actor believed he was about to repeat that level of success. But after the crash, thanks to rules he seemed to not understand, he wasn’t allowed to finish the race.
Some days you eat the bear, and some days the bear eats you. Speaking with reporters, Muniz lamented that nobody will drive tandem with him, which he takes as a sign of a lack of respect. He stated that he thought someone pushed him to the outside in the crash that took out his truck.

But Muniz isn’t about to throw in the towel. This is his first season racing full-time, and he seems to have a plan to earn the respect of his fellow drivers, saying he “was racing people and I was fairly clean the entire time… until I keep doing it, it’s gonna be tough.”
At least the man understands respect has to be earned, it’s not just handed out freely, especially in racing.
Last weekend was only the second race in the season, so Muniz has a lot of time to earn that respect and accumulate points, something he was also upset about after the race. He remarked that his crew works super hard, so having all that go down the drain like it did doesn’t feel good for the man.
