Learn what’s become of the most famous movie and TV cars of all time.
Purchased from the GM Heritage Collection on an MSO, it’s a beautifully preserved example of one of the most beloved muscle cars made at the peak of the horsepower wars. The Matador Red paint and factory brightwork look amazing, and the interior features all the fixings just like you’d expect with this classic.
To help it really shine in its movie role, GM added some modifications not available to the public, making this ride unique. Plus, not everyone can say their car was driven through a futuristic Oldsmobile dealership showroom and onto the street for a chase sequence with Sylvester Stallone behind the wheel.
Moviegoers were dazzled by this beautiful classic American muscle car. And while it wasn’t enough to keep Oldsmobile going for as long as predicted in the movie, people still remember the 442 with a smile when they talk about Demolition Man.
Not only is this Olds a looker with special equipment, it comes with impeccable documentation, something that should be music to the ears of any collector. There’s a Certificate of Origin from GM itself, the type of thing you don’t find on just any ol’ 442.
